Networks

Networks refer to interconnected systems of nodes that communicate and transfer information or resources with one another. These nodes can be computers, servers, or even people in a social network. In a technological context, networks enable the sharing of data, computing power, and services, often using protocols that dictate how information is formatted and transmitted. Common types of networks include local area networks (LANs), often used in office settings, and wide area networks (WANs), which can span cities, states, or even countries. The most prominent example of a network is the Internet, a global system that links millions of private, public, academic, and business networks. Networks play a critical role in various aspects of modern life, facilitating communication, commerce, and data exchange. While they offer numerous advantages, such as enhanced connectivity and accessibility to resources, they also come with challenges, including security risks like data breaches and unauthorized access.
