Learning

Learning is the cognitive process through which skills, knowledge, and attitudes are acquired or modified. It encompasses a wide range of experiences, from formal education in school settings to informal learning through life experiences, interactions, and observations. Learning can take various forms, including rote memorization, problem-solving, critical thinking, and experiential engagement. It is not restricted to humans and occurs in various animal species as well. With the advent of technology, learning modalities have expanded to include online courses, virtual classrooms, and other digital platforms that provide access to information and educational resources. Neuroscientific research into learning aims to understand the neural mechanisms that underlie the acquisition of new information, while psychologists study behavioral aspects and educators focus on pedagogical approaches to optimize learning outcomes. In a broader societal context, learning is essential for personal development, social mobility, and the collective advancement of communities and civilizations.
