Energy is a fundamental concept in physics that describes the capacity to do work or bring about change in a system. It exists in various forms, including kinetic energy, which is the energy of motion; potential energy, which is stored energy based on position or state; thermal energy, associated with heat; and many others like chemical, nuclear, and electrical energy. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, according to the Law of Conservation of Energy, but it can be converted from one form to another. For example, when a bow is drawn, potential energy is stored in the bowstring; when released, this energy converts into kinetic energy, propelling the arrow forward. In everyday life, the concept of energy extends to fuel consumption, electricity generation, and even the biological processes that sustain living organisms. As the world grapples with issues like climate change and resource depletion, understanding and efficiently utilizing energy has become increasingly critical.
