Community

A community is a social unit that consists of a group of people who share common characteristics, interests, or values, and often reside in close proximity to one another, such as in a neighborhood or town. However, the concept of community has evolved to also include virtual or online groups, where physical proximity is replaced by shared interests or goals. In both traditional and modern contexts, communities serve as the bedrock of social interaction, support, and belonging. They provide an environment where individuals can engage in shared activities, exchange ideas, and offer emotional or material support to one another. Communities are integral to human experience, as they influence not only individual well-being but also societal structures and norms. Whether they are based on geography, ethnicity, occupation, or hobbies, communities serve as a lens through which individuals interpret the world around them, fostering a sense of identity and belonging.
